After my mother had a stroke she was seen at home by Gillian from the Stroke & Neuro team. This was a huge help to mum and the family as Gillian’s advice and reassurance was invaluable.
We had no experience of what to expect after a stroke so found the information a great source of comfort and took confidence from the advice/assessments made.
Seeing Gillian so soon after being released from hospital gave my mother the ck defence to try to do more things than she would have tried otherwise as having spoken to Gillian she knew it was ok.
We also visited the stroke physio in Udston as part of the team after stroke care and she was also very helpful and reassuring, giving mum exercises to strengthen her muscles.
Thank you again
"Very helpful and reassuring"
