"Very hard to navigate"

About: Raigmore Hospital / Prosthetics Department

(as the patient),

I’m a new patient to the prosthetics department in Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

The hospital has electronic automatic doors throughout, although in the prosthetics department there is still regular push/pull doors. This is very hard to navigate either in a wheelchair or on crutches, where the majority of patients for this department are using mobility aids.

I am the first point of contact for Patients (answer telephone; book appointments; take, supply and post consumables; prepare and post repaired limbs) and I provide administrative backup to all staff in the Department which allows them to provide an efficient and effective service.

Hi, many thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback. I will raise this up our management chain and we will do our best to install automatic doors subject to funding.

Best wishes, the Prosthetics Team
