(as the patient),

I would like to express my gratitude to the Local Mental Health Team (LMHT) for their quick help and support when I recently lost my job.

I contacted my Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) Dawn who within a few hours had compiled for me a letter of support for my appeal against losing my job.

She also referred me to the LMHT employment service who contacted me immediately to offer help, and with only a couple of days notice employment specialist Raveena accompanied me to my work appeal hearing to give me support and reduce my anxiety.

Fortunately I got my job back and I don’t think I would have done without the help and support of my Local Mental Health Team. Their quick response most certainly helped and helped with the extreme stress and anxiety I was feeling.

I am very grateful to them.

The team work hard to improve the lives of our clients and support them within their recovery, its a real boost hearing great news like this.
