"Comprehensive, sufficient and effective psychological support"

About: Sandyford Clinic

(as a service user),

In the early 2000s, I experienced gender identity concerns and duely was admitted to Sandyford Gender Identity Service. Throughout the intervening years they have provided comprehensive, sufficient and effective psychological support from childhood, through early adulthood and into my 30s.

They have facilitated access to important surgeries, HRT and other interventions that have 100% saved my life. I went from a terrified young boy into a functioning, productive and happy man. Without the support given from clinicians at Sandyford, it is unlikely I would be alive today.
