"Watch out"

About: Chancery Lane Surgery

I have called this surgery twice on behalf of my uncle in the last week.

He is approaching end of life. He can no longer walk, is not eating, there is blood in his catheter and he sleeps all the time. He has heart failure as well as other serious issues.

Twice I have asked for a doctor to go and visit him at home to make an assessment and organise palliative care. The reception staff seem kind enough and today I was assured a doctor would go and visit.

No visits. Just phone calls to my aunt to either prescribe pointless shakes and complete inaction. Why on earth no home visit??! Why would you not make an effort to assess and put in place care for a dying person?? I’m in utter disbelief.
