"Put my mind at ease"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / General surgery Cannock Chase Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a service user),

My story starts at pre assessment and the team of dedicated staff who had done their research on my previous surgery and anaesthetic notes. An issue was flagged up and by talking with the appropriate people was resolved . I was informed my surgery could go ahead on the scheduled day. The day came and I was duly greeted by Hollybank ward staff and then seen by anaesthetist who informed me he was happy to anaethetise me but a bed had been booked on the ward should I need to stay overnight - putting my mind at ease. The operation went well and I was allowed home to the care of my son at 18:30. Thank you to Mr McBride , the anaethetist, theatre team and the day case ward staff and pre assesment staff. Thankyou NHS
