"Bad people skills from front of house"

About: Shawbirch Medical Centre

You could book an appointment via the app for routine appointments. Now that choice has been removed away from patients. For me I have extreme anxiety so calling up to book an appointment is impossible. I had asked the receptionist a week ago when can we book appointments again and she said within a few days. This was nonsense.

I had also had some bloods back and on my app it had said “at the very least a phone call.” As it is now life altering, they put me down for a call within a month. Because of the app I had requested an appointment within two weeks and finally got my diagnosis.

The issue with this practice isn’t the doctors. In my opinion they go above and beyond. My GP explained to me my new diagnosis in great detail. The issue is the receptionists are overly loud sand not very discrete. They told lies about the app appointment system.

Like myself, so many people rely on seeing what dates, times and doctors are free ahead of time. Offering the patient flexibility, freedom and time. It was a quick way to book as opposed to waiting often twenty minutes to book a routine appointment. Hurry up and bring it back please. This is utterly diabolical. Especially to your patients with extreme anxiety, adhd, asd and other disabilities!
