Having an MRI to diagnose MS.
This was my 1st time having a mobile MRI scan. I was absolutely petrified due to being claustrophobic. As soon as I walked in I received a very warm welcome by the 2 men that were working there. They were smiley and didn’t rush me as they knew that I was nervous.
One of the men explained to me what he was putting over my head/neck and that made it less scary as I wasn’t left wondering what it did and why it was there. The other man spoke to me through headphones the whole time I was in the scanner. This was very comforting as there was so music.
He explained when the bed was going to move and what the scanner was scanning. He would ask if I was okay after each individual scan and He also mentioned how long the scans would take.
When I was finished, the man that put me in the scanner gave me a thumbs up and this made me feel really proud of myself. I am extremely grateful for the 2 men as they both made me feel at ease the whole time and I actually felt relaxed.
