"So kind, caring and gentle"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Speech and Language Therapy

(as a carer),

My mum who has Alzheimer's Disease was an inpatient in hospital last year and received a Speech and Language Therapy Assessment for Dysphagia from Shannon, Speech and Language Therapist.

Shannon was so kind, caring and gentle with my mum and she really listened to my views as a daughter and my experience of helping my mum with her eating and drinking difficulties at home.

Shannon listened to my query and feedback regarding the specialist hospital meals and fed back to the ward and hospital staff.

Shannon is an asset to the Speech and Language Therapy Team. Thankyou, Shannon

Good Afternoon,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your loved ones experience with our speech and language therapy team.

We are delighted that your experience has been a positive one and that your mum felt listened to, and was treated with kindness and in a caring way.

We have passed your kind words onto Shannon, and she is delighted you have taken the time to praise her work. We also agree she is an asset to our team, and will ensure your kind words are shared with the rest of the Speech and language therapy team.

Thank you again and best wishes, Louise
