"Making appointment"

(as a service user),

I wanted to make an urgent appointment for cough and fever. Before reaching the end of the compulsory online questionnaire I was instructed to call 111. Clearly an algorithm that is triaging patients, not medical personnel. 111 advised to go to hospital/ urgent care. Which was excellent, I was examined and prescribed antibiotics. I was disappointed at the GP practice not even considering seeing me. One should not have to burden hospitals with antibiotic prescriptions and I felt let down by the GP. It feels it is only prepared to deal with non urgent matters. This never used to be like this. Shame.
