When our granddaughter was born she was diagnosed at about a year with jouberts syndrome. Shortly thereafter we were told to come to appointments at Raigmore (2 and a half hours away) more than 4 times within a month. At this time we had no benefits sorted out and were literally on the bread line with no car, the train is very expensive, at this point we were out of pocket money that we didn't have. We had a call from a Dr demanding we come regardless of money.
Our little one catches colds easily so we have missed a few appointments but we have caught up. However now it's being hung over us to the point that the Dr has written to social work. It's not the first time we have felt threatened. I am at my wits end! My daughter has poor mental health which is made worse by this, I've been diagnosed pre diabetic by stress.
4 years on and it seems to be a continuous assault! Please help because I will take this further if I have to ( I don't want to as I have a deep respect for the NHS).
