"Repeated assurance I had agency and empowerment"

About: Maternity care (Ward 31) / Labour suite maternity

(as the patient),

I was very impressed with the communication given to us at every step and the clarity on what was being done, what I would feel and the repeated assurance I had agency and empowerment to stop any internal examinations. 

Secondly, there was great support given to the birthing partner for involvement, information and cups of tea.
