We had to visit to the minor injury unit after my son falling off his bike. It was clearly a challenging night with many difficult patients waiting and a police presence in the department, but while we did have a decent wait to be seen, it was less than I'd initially thought it would be on a Saturday night! Staff were all professional and caring, x-rays taken, on call ortho consulted and finally splinted and discharged with crutches and a plan for review in 2 weeks. Can't fault our care at all and very grateful to have this service available.
