"Terrible service"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

Have been here multiple times in alot of pain and am always getting sent away without a scan even though i go on weekdays when its not busy at all, they just want to send you back to your gp all the time even though I explained im getting nowhere with my gp and am in alot of pain and not eating or sleeping and its getting worse, my bloods are abnormal to and I just can't get any help, so now I have to pay out hundreds of pounds for private scans so thanks for that.

I take patient feedback and work with all departments at Royal Devon University Hospital NHS Trust to implement service change and improve the patient experience.

Dear Patient

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that your pains are unresolved, despite multiple visits to the hospital. Due to the anonymous nature of your feedback I presume you are referring to our Emergency Department. It this is the case, as you can appreciate, these departments are for emergency and urgent cases. In most instances, your GP would be the best person to ensure that you were receiving the most appropriate treatment by arranging an appropriate referral to the correct department.

I would suggest that you return to your GP to ask for a further review. Obviously, in urgent cases, you should present to the Emergency Department.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Kind regards

Lisa
