(as a service user),

Saw GP last year as I had found a lump in my left breast. 5 years previously had similar lump in right breast and had mastectomy, reconstruction surgery followed by chemotherapy, and radiotherapy and medication.

New Breast care team were extremely supportive and talked me through all the implications of my  new problem. Very honest ,caring and made me feel well supported. After many tests we decided to go with previous treatment medication that now was also available.

The radiotherapy unit has also been very supportive, one staff member who was there on my previous visits 5 years before  was again there to keep my spirits up.

My ongoing care continues between Ninewells and Perth Royal Infirmary. Very fortunate to have 2 amazing hospitals within easy reach of home.

Dear Clare1, thank you so much for taking the time to feedback your experience of our Radiotherapy Department. My name is Bob, one of the Support Workers who welcomed you to our department. I am sorry to hear that you had to return to us but also very pleased that you were treated so well before your radiotherapy treatment started.

As you say that our Therapeutic Radiographers have been supportive, I will pass on your kind words to them. I am glad too that you saw a friendly face from the past. That can be reassuring.

May your treatment continue to go well and on behalf of all our staff, I wish you all the best for the future.
