(as a carer),

When my mother's catheter came out, the District Nurse, Gill, came to her house very promptly to fit a new one. She was very reassuring and did an excellent job - and couldn't have been more helpful.

My name is Marion Orr and I'm the District Nursing Coach in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. I work alongside all the District Nursing teams in the Trust to support and encourage the delivery of nursing care that is of a high quality and centred around the person and their family.

Thank-you for taking the time to provide this complimentary feedback on the prompt nursing care your mother received from Gill one of the nurses in the Newtownabbey DN team. 'Excellence' and 'compassion' are both Trust values and were displayed in the care of your mother and how your mother was made to feel. I will pass on your comments to the District Nursing team and to Gill in particular.

In addition this compliment is extremely motivating for everyone involved in the delivery of the district nursing service including the senior nursing and general managers in the Trust.
