"Cannula left in situ "

About: Yeovil District Hospital

Having spent a fruitless 7 hours in Yeovil ACU today (referred for a liver scan by GPs but not given one) my 90 year old dementia cancer and Af diagnosed mother was sent home to my care with a cannula still in her arm. Noted when we got home and I went to GPs to get it removed.

I can only apologise that this was missed on discharge.

Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to contact us. I would like to offer my sincere apologies that your mother was discharged with a cannular left in her arm and that you had to contact your GP to have this removed. I hope your mother is now recovering well.
