"Care from all the staff was amazing"

Gave birth to my baby boy in March.

My overall care from all the staff at Wishaw was amazing!

My delivery midwives where Emily, Ciara and Monica.

Emily, who was the main midwife for the delivery, was professional, and made me feel safe, empowered and in control during the full labour and during the arrival for my son. She kept my husband fully informed and answered any questions he had in a clear and considered way. She was amazing and a real credit to the department.

Ciara is an amazing student midwife. She handled herself in such a professional manner and really knew her stuff. She was such a lovely presence and really couldn’t do enough during the full experience. I am sure she will have an amazing career as a midwife.

Monica was covering the girls' breaks and also done the babies checks after birth. She has such a warm presence.

Due to the morphine making me sleepy I had limited movement but Monica made sure I changed positions regularly to get the baby into position.

The delivery was a positive experience and I really put that down to the team I had around me. I can’t thank them enough!
