While attending Dr Grays hospital Elgin for an outpatient procedure, a lovely Health Care Support Worker came out to apologise and explain that the surgeon was running late with the patient appointments , and there would be a slight delay.
I thought that was really nice of her to take the time to explain the situation, and as others arrived she would also update them with the information. This certainly put me at ease with the waiting, and other patients who were waiting seemed to appreciate the service of her just being nice and expressing that the staff was doing their best to get caught up with times.
This made my first encounter with the doctor a little more pleasant and less stressful knowing that they were doing their best.
After my appointment I took the time to thank this staff member for her consideration to keep us informed, So a big thanks to Ulrike for her superb support service. It’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
"Waiting time update from staff was so helpful"
