"No contact, no idea of waiting time"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology Services

(as a service user),

I had an appointment with the consultant in September ( after a year of waiting for a referral).

I was told I needed a hysteroscopy under GA and that I was a Cat 1 patient.

I had my pre op assessment in October.

The only contact I have had since then was a text message last month asking if I still wanted the procedure done.

I have many symptoms that are caused by cancer, I won't know until further investigations are done, the constant pain and the fear that I do have cancer that is spreading due to be ignored has affected my mental health significantly.

I feel so let down and like I am not worthy of having treatment due to being ignored and / or forgotten about.

Hello, I have tried calling several times since you posted this number, no one has picked up, is there a different number or an email I can contact?

Thank you

Hi LJS79,

Sorry to hear there has been an issue getting through to the number shared by Lynne Smith. There should be someone answering the phone between 8am and 4pm Monday - Friday, but you can also email gram.womensservices@nhs.scot and they will get back to you as soon as possible.

I work in the Quality Improvement Team so wouldn't be able to answer any queries about your care, but if there are any problems with the contact details above please let me know and I can investigate further. Email: kirsten.dickson@nhs,scot / 07885720267).

Take care,

Kirsten
