After a wood carving incident involving my pinky finger and very sharp whittling knife, I paid a visit to the minor injuries unit at VOLH for treatment.
A reasonable wait time of approximately an hour, arrived at 18:05, treatment 19:00, 5 other patients hanging around.
Michelle called me in, starting off with some formalities then immediately into the banter whilst assessing what to do with my unfortunate little finger. I felt a bit silly attending for a cut on my finger but I felt it a bit deep, and a plaster wouldn’t do the job for more than a quick fix to stem the bleeding.
Michelle put me at ease immediately, she was kind, funny, efficient and very helpful. If there were more nurses like her the world would be a better place.
Thanks for the experience Michelle. 10/10. I hope not to return any time soon. This feels like a hotel or restaurant review, decor of building needs updating, dinner menu leaves much to be desired, vending machine needs restocking.
