"Hip replacement surgery"

About: Kettering General Hospital

I was recently admitted for replacement hip surgery. The whole process from being placed on "a list" to the actual surgery was first class. Pre- appointments were managed efficiently and the admittance procedure was seemless.

The standard of care, whilst in hospital from all the staff was friendly, respectful and I was constantly reassured.

kgh does not always get the best press but this would quickly improve if these standards could be replicated accross the hospital.

I am surprised that kgh does not follow up, with pateince, to review its services as a matter of course rather then me having to search for the opportunity?

Once again thank you, the service would not have been better if I had gone private.

Dear Ken,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this feedback.

We are so happy that you had a positive experience with us, and that standard of care and communication was good whilst you were in hospital.

The hospital uses the friends and family test to ask patients for feedback whilst in hospital and we are sorry this was not available to you

I will ensure that this feedback is passed on to the teams on the Orthopeadic Wards.

Kind regards,

Mandy McQueenie

Patient Experience Manager
