"The Amazing Job Call Handlers Do"

To give some clarity to my story I have epilepsy, autism and depression and have struggled with social isolation for years. 

My mood has been a lot lower recently - more so since trying to get a care package from Social Work which has been very stressful, and brought me to breaking point, with me getting black thoughts.

It is for that reason I find Breathing Space Scotland has been an excellent service. 

I'd particularly like to give thanks to Breathing Space call Handler Charlie, who I've spoken to several times.

I even told him he's my saviour owing to the soft tone of voice he has. His level of compassion and the way he understands me when I share my feelings.

I also appreciate he's more in touch with his feminine side which can be an asset. I only speak to him every few weeks due to the likelihood of speaking to him out of all the other call handlers.

I just hope that the Breathing Space Service - phone line can have its hours extended as there has never been more need for it than now with all the cuts to our mental health services.
