"Exceptional - Renal - NHS Ayrshire & Arran"

About: Heathfield Suite / Renal Medicine Renal Dialysis / Renal Dialysis Satellite Unit University Hospital Ayr / Renal Medicine

(as a relative),

I have waited nearly a year to leave this as our family has been grieving but feel it is time to say thank you.   My dad was treated exceptionally by the renal unit in NHS Ayrshire and Arran at UHA (especially by his doctor - Dr Imtiaz).   He was treated as an individual and the team always made sure his health was put first at the renal unit in Ayr where he went for 9 years.

The team in 2F went above and beyond for us as a family at the end.  We will be forever grateful.
As a member of staff, it makes me proud to work for our NHS.
Thank you so much to the renal unit at UHA and the team in 2F.

Dear Appreciative Patient 123

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your dad and thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided to him as I know this will still be a sad and difficult time for you.

It’s often the small acts of compassion that make such a difference, and that stay with us following these traumatic times, providing some comfort as you come to terms with your loss.

I am glad to hear that your dad received such empathetic and compassionate care from our staff and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with Team in the Satellite Unit and Ward 2F. I know they will all be delighted to receive this and to know that you and your family felt so supported by them whist your dad was under our care.

Like you, I am proud to work for the NHS and I also share your admiration for the professionalism and compassion displayed by our staff.

Thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind regards

Pamela
