After a recent bout of kidney infections, flu, two courses of antibiotics and severe vertigo, and in my mid eighties, I was feeling totally demoralised and unable to face much more. I also had had three recent falls.
I was referred by my GP to the Falls Clinic where I was extremely lucky to be given a next day cancellation. My expectations were low and I went along expecting to be advised to remove rugs and proceed more carefully.
To my astonishment the team carried out a full scale MOT with the greatest kindness and sensitivity and gave me real hope for the future.
The Occupational Therapists supplied me with aids to make life a lot easier.
I can honestly say that to be treated with such care and attention was like a rejuvenation program and I am deeply grateful to all these amazing workers who provided this support at such a vulnerable time.
"Gave me real hope for the future."
