"Discharged from Autism Services"

About: Children and Young People Services / Autism Services

(as a parent/guardian),

My son was discharged as we hadn’t contacted the intervention team as what they advised and the child’s schools SLT were different and we have been working with the Schools SLT to save my child’s confusion on his communication at home and in school. My child has high needs and from time to time we do need the help of Autism services.

Thank you for taking time to provide us with your feedback on your experience with the Autism Service. I am sorry that you were not expecting your son to be discharged from the service. We have a self-referral process within the service to make it easier for families to access support as and when it is needed.

If you require support from the Autism Service please do not hesitate to contact the service on 02837 566 777 to request a new referral or to speak directly to Michelle Grimley, Co-ordinator/Operational Manger for the Intervention Team.
