"Pelvic ultrasound"

About: University Hospital Ayr / X-rays and Scans

(as a service user),

I attended for a pelvic ultrasound at the outpatients department of university hospital ayr. They are running clinics on a Saturday so the hospital wasn’t busy, which was great. I haven’t had this type of ultrasound before so I was a bit nervous.

The 2 members of staff who were on duty that day were very reassuring and friendly. They were both cheery despite working on a Saturday too. The clinician who carried out the ultrasound talked me through what she was doing and seeing, she was very professional and kind. My scan took less than 10 minutes and I was on my way again.
