My daughter first attended a chatter matters clinic in 2022 and was referred to the community Paeds by speech and language therapist Ruth. She immediately recognised my child was a gestalt language processor and she helped me understand what this was and helped with strategies which I could use to help her speech continue to develop.
The referral then came around a year later and the community paeds Dr has referred my daughter on to the Autism team for an assessment, this was all down to the hard work of Ruth and how attentive she was.
My daughter also attends community speech and language therapy after a referral from and Ruth. She has continued to link in with my daughter in the 2 year programme and goes above and beyond to help where she can. She is fantastic at her job and deserves recognition. Thank you Ruth :)
