"He happily left feeling a lot better"

I had a visit to A&E in Kirkcaldy recently with my son, had an incident in school & decided we'd get it checked as he was still in pain.

Waiting times were brilliant, I know how extremely busy it's been recently but couldn't fault anything with my anxious boy. Got there at 11 in the morning & we were being seen to at 11.30. We were in & out in an hour pretty much.

My little boy was very nervous & was pretty upset. But Lindsay, the emergency nurse practitioner, was absolutely fantastic with him, explained everything about the x-ray, even showed him his bones.

He happily left feeling a lot better in a sling & a lot calmer. Unfortunately he had a broken collar bone. But she explained whilst reassuring him she was there to help him & settle his pain as you can imagine it's not the most pleasant of things to be experiencing for a 7 year old. He was frightened of everything round him but honestly she was fabulous.
