"Emergency help for a urine infection"

About: General practices in Fife Queen Margaret Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit Victoria Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

Towards the end of December2023 just after doctors etc closed I got a urine infection, between then and 1st January I had to visit NHS24 three times all in the early hours, twice at ST Margarets Dunfermline and once at Victoria Kirkcaldy.

Even though they were busy and tired the level of care I got was friendly, professional and very helpful. As a first time user of NHS24 I was very impressed and grateful, without them I would most certainly have ended up in hospital. As this was a deep rooted infection I had to visit my own doctor at Loch Leven Health Centre Kinross (Orwell practice) as soon as they opened after New Year. Again I got exceptional service straight away that started to clear the problem for good. I cannot thank our wonderful NHS enough for the amazing job they do even in the busiest and stressful times.

Update posted by The Hat (the patient)

I very much appreciate your personal response, there's too many negatives circulate and not enough praise for what you do
