"Kind and caring"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Endocrinology

(as a service user),

The consultant I saw didn't follow through with what they agreed to do. I tried to follow it up with their secretary who was rude and unhelpful.

I called the endocrinology department and the lovely receptionist, Fleur, couldn't have been more helpful and so kind and caring. This lady deserves a medal, she really helped a very ill and distressed patient and it meant the world to me.

There should be more people like Fleur in this world.

I am so sorry that the consultant didn't follow through with the agreed actions and, when trying to follow it up, the secretary was rude and unhelpful.

It is great that, when calling the Endocrinology department, the receptionist was so caring and kind. I am so glad that she was able to help you.

I am writing to you as a member of the Patient Experience team, but I will pass your kind words onto the Endocrinology department with a special mention to Fleur through our Learning From Excellence scheme.
