"Giving birrh"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

From 35 weeks it all went a bit dramatic with my waters breaking, high blood pressure and breech baby. The care was amazing every person has empathy and listened. I stayed in for 4 days and was allowed home. The barnstaple branch were amazing thoughi did find when i rang triage in exeter i felt they were slightly patronising and though i know they didnt know my full story but didnt always feel listened to. When i went back in due to pain the staff were mazing constantly checking on me sophie went above and beyond to make sure i was comfortable, though i had to have an emergency section that night everyone made me feel calm and i was very well cared for. The following day Ruth who was my community midwife was working on the ward looking after me it was a real great comfort as her care for me even at local appointments was incredible she made sure i got the answers/scans i was happy with when feeling anxious i cant thank her enough
