Unfortunately I had a poor experience on 25th January. The GP I saw kept on asking how I had got an appointment and asked ‘why are you here?’ At one point she stood across the room just staring at me. I had called the Purley Hub thinking that it was a walk in clinic. I had missed getting an appointment in my area. I had made it very clear that I was a Tadworth resident but was told that I could still get an appointment at the hub. I had explained this to the GP I saw but she did not seem to believe me and regarded me with suspicion. I am not entirely sure what she thought was going on but I was a genuine patient and did not appreciate being treated in this way. It was an unpleasant experience and left me feeling unsettled. I can only assume that she thought I was involved in some sort of ‘scam’ to get medication and then sell it on??? I have the right to be treated with dignity and respect when I visit a surgery.
