About: St Michael's Hospital / Trauma & Orthopaedics (including fracture/hand clinic)

(as a service user),

I recently attended the hand clinic. I was greeted by Demi, staff nurse, who made my wait prior to being seen very welcoming.

I was seen by Kate, who listened and took a detailed history as to the cause of my finger injury, management of same and then conscientiously reviewed my healed finger. She was complimentary as to how I had managed to care for my finger and we both agreed that the initial advice that I had been given at M.I Newquay was invaluable.

I shared with her that I had a forthcoming skiing holiday and she gave me anticipatory guidance with a demonstration on how to apply a roban compression bandage for the duration of the holiday.

I was extremely pleased with my consultation.

I am so pleased to see that, during your appointment, you were listened to well and your finger was thoroughly reviewed. I am glad that you were given great initial advice and I hope that your finger continues to heal well. I hope that you have a lovely skiing holiday.
