"Very satisfied with the treatment that I have had"

About: Causeway Hospital The Ulster Hospital / Theatres / Recovery

(as a service user),

I had skin cancer on my face (nose)

I was referred by my local GP to a Dr Yoda in the Causeway Hospital.

I then seen two other doctors and gave different treatments.

The last one put me on antibiotic for six months that didn't work and the only complain I would have is that I thought it would have been reviewed after two months. Whether or not that would have made any difference I don't know.

This was during the covid outbreak and by the time I got to see Dr Yoda again it was too late to save my nose.

He got in touch with a Dr Lewis in the Ulster Hospital and arranged for me to have the operation.

The cancer had spread to the right hand side of my face and ear.

I had another operation in the Ulster Hospital with a Mrs Lennon. I am very satisfied with the treatment that I have had especially with my GP and the surgeons.

Pagerct64,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us your story.

I am sorry that your cancer spread and I am sure this was very difficult.

It is good to hear that you were satisfied with the operating team, I will pass this on to the team and I hope you make a good recovery,

Cathy
