"Coordinated my care really well"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Day Surgery University Hospital Hairmyres / Radiology University Hospital Hairmyres / Surgical Receiving Unit (Ward 4)

(as a service user),

I was referred to ambulatory care by my GP. I was taken through A&E to the surgical assessment unit where I was examined quickly by the surgical team and admitted to ward 4.

The whole team were very friendly and professional, I couldn’t fault the exceptional care I received.

The medical team coordinated my care really well, I  needed an ercp and they anticipated that this was only done twice a week and managed to get me done on that days list which meant I was discharged the next day instead of keeping me in an extra 5 days.

I was so impressed with every single member of staff I came into contact with from A&E, Ambulatory care, ward 4, MRI scan  and day surgery unit. Every member of staff a credit to nhs Lanarkshire.

Dear Alibob,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Hairmyres, Day Surgery and ward 4.

I am so pleased to hear the person centred approach to care that ward 4 took when looking after you. What a difference it must have made getting your procedure done quickly and getting out the next day rather than staying in for 5 days. I am glad that the whole team were friendly and gave exceptional care.

I look forward to sharing your kind words with the whole team and I am sure they will be delighted to hear your positive feedback and the impact their care had on your experience.

I hope you are recovering well.

Kind Regards,

Jenni
