About: The Broadway Surgery

Some of the reception staff and super friendly and helpful but there is a disconnect on Comms/rules as I’ve been two occasions this year and been turned away for booked services once I arrive in front of the nurse to receive them (ie - immunisations ).

Nurse very knowledgeable

The person doing health checks & ECG - very efficient and professional.

The health check for 40 year olds itself felt more like information gathering than helping to support and inform about health - ie. Bloods done and blood sugar but no one to explain results and how you can help yourself unless something is already wrong with you.

Mostly impossible to get an appointment by phone and mixed information about the online and in person booking rules and process.

Most recent doctor experience was efficient but to the point of rushing you along. Was also given incorrect information by him on access to outreach services available and almost paid to go private for something I didn’t need to. I was asked to share images via the online system without any empathy or thought about that being an uncomfortable thing to do. I also felt he was a unnecessary and judgemental to ask me if it was my ‘first baby’ when I brought my (2nd child) 1 year old in after a very concerning high temperature of 38 and an episode of unusually accute pain I’d just witnessed.
