"Cataract Surgery"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Cataract Unit

(as a service user),

I had my cataracts operated on recently at QMH, Dunfermline. All the staff are helpful and professional. Special mention must go to the nurse I had on my first visit - friendly and helpful with a sense of humour. The first time I went, from start to finish everything went well.

One tiny glitch for the the second eye, not enough anaesthetic drops were put in before the operation. Fortunately, the surgeon realised as soon as they started to operate and asked for more anaesthetic. Everything was explained fully with the opportunity to ask questions at any time. Five stars to the department.
