About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

pediatric emergency nurses are inhumane! The two times I went, one with my daughter with a fever of 39.6 and the other with my baby with a fever of 39.4. On those two occasions they were insensitive, unresponsive and unethical. They saw my daughter with a high fever and they didn't give her anything, I had to measure her fever and give her ibuprofen and paracetamol, put cold compresses on her and take care of her until her fever went down. My baby's case was exactly the same. I had to tell the nurse and she was just walking around, smiling, eating potatoes. Another nurse took the urine patch off my baby so hard that it left his testicles red and made him scream in pain. They took two drops urine tests on my son and with that they told me a result! . Really, that area to be childish is very intractable and inhumane. I hope you don't have to go to that place! Because if you are going to go you will have to take care of your children alone (with your thermometer, your medicines and manage alone for many hours until the doctor shows up) and who knows whose results they will give you.

Dear Sandra,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave this feedback. Please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of the Trust for the way you report you and your children were treated. Please be assured that this alleged standard of care is not the level our colleagues aim to deliver.

I will share your feedback with the paediatric nursing team who will use it to identify areas where they might be able to improve patient care.

Kind regards,

Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health Foundation Trust
