"a very kind Doctor who explained everything…"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

I went to A&E on Monday afternoon after tripping and falling badly on a kerb stone. The Doctor who explained everything clearly and was very helpful. It turned out I have a couple of crack on my right pelvis and possibly crack ribs. Doctor was happy for me to go home as I could just about walk. My husband I had used a walking stick which I found easy to use. We left it in the A & E waiting room by mistake and didn't think we would find it again, but we did have other sticks at home. On leaving we enquired at reception and found that someone had kindly handed it in. Please thank the Doctor and assure him that I am using the stick and would be grateful if you could pass on my thanks and reassure him I am doing as I am told. Many thanks

Dear Mrs Selby

Thank you for taking the time to share such kind words following your Emergency Department (ED) attendance on Monday.

It was lovely to read that the doctor who treated you explained everything clearly and was helpful and it was great news that someone kindly handed your walking stick in. I will today share your feedback with the ED management team for them to pass on to doctor that you are using the walking stick and doing as you were told.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

Sylvia
