"Awful service "

About: Royal Berkshire Hospital

My partner was admitted 4 times to ED in a week for tonsillitis and a quinsy, extremely unwell. Kept getting sent home, no beds, dr strike. Lost 4kg between admissions in 3 days, told the nurse whilst admitted to a ward about frequent urination and thirst she said it was down to steroids.

He has now been diagnosed with life changing Type 1 Diabetes and cannot help but think if he was treated appropriately and monitored on first attendance this may have been avoided.
