"Friendly, helpful and professional"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Pre-Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

I recently attended Antrim Hospital for my pre-operative assessment. From the moment I arrived at the unit until I left 90 minutes later, the care I received was simply fantastic. The staff who looked after me were friendly, helpful and professional. They introduced themselves, explained everything perfectly and gave me an opportunity to ask questions at each stage of the process. I felt genuinely cared for and would advise anyone going in for elective surgery for the first time not to worry, because they will be well looked after.

My name is Marie Devlin and I am the manager of the pre assessment unit

Thank you so much for taking the time give such positive feed back. The girls all work very hard to make each patients experience personal to them and I am extremely proud of them all. We understand that patients can be very apprehensive about their surgery and anaesthetic and we try to allay any fears or worries that they may have. I wish you well with your pending surgery and a speedy recovery.

Marie
