"Serious leg injury"

About: General practices in Fife St Andrews Community Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

While playing golf I went onto some rough ground where gorse bushes had been cut down leaving stumps. As the grass had grown round the stumps I didn't see them and walked onto a stump, raking my left shin down the stump.

I received prompt and excellent treatment from the Minor Injuries Unit at St Andrews Hospital. This has been followed twice weekly to have the wound cleaned and dressed at the Keith Health Centre in Anstruther. The staff there have been very courteous and helpful and the treatment by nurse Pauline has been superb.
