Hi, I was diagnosed  with breast cancer after a routine  mammogram it was a shock at first as I  never knew i had any problem as i never had any symptoms  at all having  always  went for all my scans+never thought anymore about them untill that last one came back saying there was something suspicious.

So a recall was needed. It turned out I had a tumour and I thank god now that we are fortunate  enough to receive  the care we do, the doctors+nurses were very good explaining  what would happen going forward step by step  so that helped reassure me+kept me positive.

My treatment I thot was dealt with quick+very efficient from the initial  diagnosis to the surgery that i required,I had a lumpectomy that all went well  and had some lymph  glands removed for testing at the same time +then had everything  explained about the results of the biopsy +the process going forward which I liked.

The doctors always contacted me with results as they promised  which reassured + put me at ease during the whole process. I  have just finished  a 9 day course of radiotherapy which went well. I have been kept well  informed throughout  my journey at radiotherapy.

I cannot praise enough doctors,nurses+all staff that helped  me through  my cancer treatment from start to finish well done +I thank you all so so much ❤️

I am so pleased to hear that you received excellent treatment prior to your visits to us and that the communication seems to have been joined up. It appears that our Therapeutic Radiographers continued to provide you with appropriate information. I will pass on your kind words to them.

I am so pleased that you took advantage of the breast screening program and on behalf of all within our department, hope you benefit from your treatment and wish you well for the future.
