"I felt listened to and reassured throughout"

Visited recently for removal of the copper coil, my nurse was Caroline and she was fantastic. She was kind and caring throughout. She communicated clearly and reassuringly, gaining my consent and explaining what she was doing at each stage of the procedure.

Caroline was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I explained that from previous experience of smears etc. that a smaller speculum was normally used, my cervix was difficult to see, as were my coil strings - Caroline took all of this on board, using a smaller speculum and was extremely patient. I felt listened to and reassured throughout.

My dignity was maintained throughout the intervention and I felt at ease and safe in Caroline's care. Thank you!
