"My ignored testicular issue"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Urology

(as a service user),

First of all this issue I have had 4 years plus of me holding fear inside scared it’s testicular cancer.

I’ve had a course of antibiotics before, but never touched it (pain).

I finally decided I was gonna face up to my fear. Came home from work cos I was in such pain. Made a an appointment to see my gp.

My gp seen me the very next day and gave me an examination.

Sent me straight in to hospital where I was sent straight into surgery S where I was put on a ward. I was sent for an ultrasound. Had my blood taken. Urine sample. Gave me morphine and pain killers.

They was absolutely lovely, very caring, nothing was a problem.

I was seen by a doctor and a nurse about what surgeries I can have done and how it could affect my fertility with varicose vein issue which was picked up on scan.

I was told to take meds until I get my appointment letter.

I then got my appointment letter and operation surgery letter to show me what they can do for me.

I turned up for my appointment to urology.

Was examined (only) but felt absolutely fobbed off.

Told that they couldn’t feel no problems despite putting me in severe pain doing so. Never taken for a second scan, no bloods taken. I explained that I’m self employed and I’ve been off work with pain for over 3 weeks. It was like I just wasn’t talking, totally disregarding my thoughts and my pain and  even my personal life. I was given a sick note which is no use as I’m self employed, and antibiotics are which I explained to them I’ve had before and didn’t touch my situation. I’m not happy at all and still in absolute agony.
