"Compassionate, friendly and caring"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I became unwell in the early hours and attended emergency department at Ayr hospital then was admitted to station 4 for further treatment.

The staff in ED - particularly Karen, Cassie, Kimberly and Cheryl along with the amazing HCA, nurses and medical staff - provided immediate care and relief of my symptoms despite the department being so busy.

After transfer and admission to station 4 where again the staff were amazing and caring especially Brian, Lynn, the other nursing staff, HCAs and medical staff.

Both my wife and I work in health care and totally appreciate the demanding environment and pressures that staff are under, but regardless of this all staff took the time to provide me with the care in a compassionate, friendly and caring manner. We just want to pass on our thanks and to acknowledge their hard work.

Dear authenticcj33

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided within the Emergency Department and Station 4 at University Hospital Ayr.

I am delighted to hear that you received such prompt, professional and compassionate care from all of our staff. This is a lovely example of the patient centred care that we strive to provide

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Teams in both Departments and in particular with those you have mentioned by name.

Please accept my best wishes for your ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
