I was referred to podiatry after suffering a very painful toenail infection, which resulted in my toenail beginning to fall off. Just looking at it made me feel sick and anxious as it was so painful.
I went along to the team at Pennywell All Care Centre, and was seen by a lovely young podiatrist, who really calmed me down, and understood my concerns.
He managed to remove most of the toenail that had been causing all the problems, very gently and with no pain, all the while talking to me about anything and everything to keep me distracted.
I then had a follow-up appointment to remove the rest with a second podiatrist at Pennywell who was just as brilliant as the first. Both had such a lovely manner about them and a took great care to put me at ease and keep me comfortable.
