"Wonderful care"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Critical Care Unit University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My sister is in her 40s and was admitted to A&E with sepsis. The team acted promptly and within a short time she was intubated and taken to theatre. From there she was treated in ITU. Sadly, despite valiant efforts from the teams, she deteriorated and passed away.

My family and I wish to express our sincere grace for the expert and timely care and compassion provided to our family and of course young sister.

I have nothing but admiration for the medical, nursing, portering and domestic teams.

We will never forget the doctors and nurses who tried everything they could to change the outcome but it was not to be.

Keep doing exactly what you are doing, I wish the public and policy makers could witness the professionalism you display despite budget cuts and bed crisis.

All our very best, our family will never forget you.

Dear Lisa736

Thank you so much for your heartfelt and kind words for the teams who cared for your Sister within the Hospital.

I can only imagine how hard this has been for yourself and your family and the staff involved will really appreciate your lovely feedback.

I will make sure that this is passed on to all the teams mentioned.

With sincere condolences for your loss

Best Wishes

Lynn McTavish
