Anything else?
I was referred to KGH for an urgent referral as they had discovered something unknown on my chest x ray. I had a CT scan 10 days later and was given an appointment for Thursday 24th October to see a doctor. I was seen by a registrar to the doctor, the first thing he said was you dont have lung cancer which was a great relief. He was very professional in telling us the results of the CT scan and very thorough, he took his time explaining the answers to our questions. He was concerned about my BP and told me I would have to be referred to the Ambulatory Dept on Barnwell Ward, again the staff were very professional and kept us informed of what was happening. I was then seen by another very professional member of staff, who examined me very thoroughly and then I was allowed to go home and told to visit my GP. I cannot praise KGH enough for my treatment on this day. I believe if you have a genuine emergency you are dealt with accordingly. I do not know where this hospital gets its bad reports from. Could this be passed on to the relevent staff that dealt with me this day.
